Administrator
Mary Beth McNeil
One of the first women graduates of the University of Notre Dame, Mary Beth has continued to stay at the frontlines, managing and growing (and owning) several small businesses. In the 1980’s, while raising her two sons, Mary Beth became a partner in a small topiary business – and was solely responsible for creating its online presence (Html for Dummies), growing Topiary Inc to be able to sell hand-crafted topiaries across the U.S. and internationally. Besides the retail individuals, Topiary Inc. serviced many famous customers: 20th Century Fox (for the movie, Edward Scissorshands), the royal family in Japan, the White House for Christmas, Disney World, SeaWorld and many famous Zoos and Gardens. As the Electronic Medical Record and the ICD-10 Code became mandatory in 2015, Mary Beth went back to school, to study Medical Information Management as well as Medical Coding. In her words, she wanted to “test her left brain for a challenge and change”, and she saw a need. In 2017, Mary Beth was hired as the first employee in a young startup telemedicine organization called OrthoLive. Since then, Mary Beth has had her hand in almost every aspect of OrthoLive, now HealthcareLive – as a Mentor, in the area of Training and Development, in Accounting, in Process Implementation, and ‘Most importantly’ – as a Values Champion. Customers and Teammates have called her “The Miracle Worker” and have recognized her responsiveness and willingness to problem solved. Looking back on those early experiences on through to today, Mary Beth has mentioned how blessed she is now - to have prepared for, been recognized and to have been engaged at the cusp of a medical revolution. Now, she says, there is an entire team of hard-working individuals who make a difference. Mary Beth notes that “we have hired the best of the best” creating a culture devoted to making quality healthcare more available, more accessible and affordable, and always delivered with integrity.
