HANK MATTHEWS

Hank “The Equalizer” Matthews was a third-shift steelworker, known for his strength, precision, and dedication. He worked tirelessly, crafting steel late into the night, when most of the world was asleep. On one fateful night, a serious accident occurred. A faulty piece of equipment gave way, and Hank was injured on the job. Bleeding and in pain, he sought immediate care, only to find that the healthcare system wasn’t designed to accommodate third-shift workers like him. The clinics were closed, specialists unavailable, and Hank was left to suffer until regular business hours. Hank’s injury not only cost him weeks of work but also made him realize how many others in his position faced the same obstacles—delayed care, missed diagnoses, and a system that seemed to prioritize convenience over people. Frustrated by the lack of access to care for workers like him, Hank vowed to do something about it

MARY THYME

Mary transformed into Echo, a superhero whose mission is to bridge the gap between the sea and land, ensuring that every worker and passenger on the ocean has access to the healthcare they need. She uses her mastery of sonic waves to instantly transmit patient data, summon medical teams, and provide immediate care from miles away. Her voice echoes across the waves, allowing her to communicate directly with healthcare providers in real-time, and her powers amplify their ability to respond. She ensures that no injury or illness at sea ever goes untreated due to distance or time, breaking down the barriers between patients and the care they deserve.

JACK CARTER

Born and raised in a small town in Texas where healthcare was scarce and the nearest hospital was miles away, Jack “Lifeline” Carter knew what it meant to wait. He watched friends, family, and neighbors suffer from delayed treatments, missed diagnoses, and the complexities of navigating an inaccessible healthcare system. His own father, a hardworking rancher, lost his life waiting for a specialist to provide the care he needed in time. Driven by the memory of his father and a desire to ensure no one else would have to face the same obstacles, Jack set out to find a solution. While he didn’t have the power to change the system overnight, he discovered a gift: a special lasso passed down through his family.
